Antifa is a violent, subversive hard left organization whose name purports to mean ant-fascist, but whose operating principles and behavior are very much fascist. In fact, the 20th century’s most prominent fascists, Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini, were both believers in socialism and central government control of everything. In spite of Antifa’s record of violence and anti-free speech, and number of public school teachers have come out in support of that organization.
According to the Berkeleyside:
Yvette Felarca, the controversial Berkeley middle school teacher who frequently marches and protests against groups she considers to be fascistic, was arrested Tuesday night in connection with a violent neo-Nazi rally in Sacramento in June 2016.
Police took Felarca, 47, into custody in Southern California on charges of assault by means of force likely to inflict great bodily injury, a felony, and participating in a riot, and inciting a riot, both misdemeanors, according to information provided by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office.
Felarca was captured on video hitting a member of the Traditionalist Worker’s Party, a white nationalist group that had taken out permits for a rally on the west steps of the state capitol. Felarca, a member of the group By Any Means Necessary, and other counter-protesters blocked the rally by chasing and hitting members of the Traditional Worker’s Party. At least 10 people suffered stab wounds and lacerations in the melee.
By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) is said to be a partner organization of Antifa. BAMN is strongly the suppression of any speech they don’t like.
After BAMN and other antifa groups staged violent protests in Berkeley to keep right-wing author Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking, Felarca defendedher group’s acts of violence. BAMN was able to cancel another event, this time an April speech by pro-Trump author Ann Coulter, by promising a repeat performance of the Milo riots.
The FBI and DHS say Antifa groups like BAMN are engaging in “domestic terrorist violence,” according to the Politico report.
Just last weekend, Felarca helped organize BAMN’s mass demonstrations that “shut down” an anti-Marxism rally in Berkeley. As with BAMN’s other organized actions, left-wing actors at Saturday’s demonstrations violently attackedpeaceful protesters. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi condemned the Antifa violence in Berkeley, while Felarca called BAMN’s actions a “resounding success.”
In Detriot, BAMN organizer and high school teacher Nicole Conaway organized a “sickout” at her school in 2015, leading other teachers in calling in sick to protest the policies of Republican Gov. Rick Snyder. The sickout forced six Detroit-area schools to cancel classes, affecting nearly 4,000 students.
One month later, Conaway led students in a school walkout protesting poor building conditions. She was one of three BAMN organizers arrested in connection with the protest. Other BAMN members have led similar protests at the schools where they teach.
In Berkeley, Felarca and other BAMN members repeatedly abused their positions of influence over students in service of their own radical goals, Berkeley’s public school district charged in court filings obtained by local news organization Berkeleyside.
According to the Daily Caller:
BAMN is active within both the National Education Association — the nation’s largest teacher’s union — as well as with local and regional teacher’s unions in Michigan and California.
Last year, 17 different BAMN members ran for elected positions on the Detroit Federation of Teachers, according to a newsletter sent out by the DFT. BAMN also ran five candidates for different national leadership positions with the NEA in 2017.
When the Berkeley school district suspended Felarca for her violent activism in 2016 (for which she was charged with inciting a riot), the local teacher’s union sued the school on Felarca’s behalf.
In January 2015, BAMN organizer Steve Conn was elected president of the Detroit Federation of Teachers. The DFT’s executive board charged Conn with misconduct later that year and removed him from office.
According to the Blaze there was another teacher in Portland Oregon supporting Antifa:
A woman wearing black antifa garb — and describing herself as a preschool teacher — was caught on video issuing a profanity-laced tirade against Portland, Oregon, riot police amid a free-speech demonstration Sunday supporting Republican President Donald Trump.
“You put on the badge, you have a responsibility … to a higher standard. I pay my taxes, I pay your paycheck,” the woman was heard saying in the clip as she stood in front of lined-up cops. “I need you to serve and protect me. I feel scared. You can’t seek and destroy me.”
Noting that “today I’m wearing all black,” she said that “normally I’m a single-mom preschool teacher, and I don’t need to feel scared. I don’t need this … I teach black kids and white kids … why do I have to teach my black kids not to play with guns? … You come into my classroom and the black kids are scared as s**t!”
“Why? Why is that? That’s not f***ing cool!” the woman continued. “That’s not okay! And I have to sit there and deal with that every day!”
Observing the officers’ riot gear, she said that “you’re dressed up like I’m the f***in’ enemy, and I’m the f***in’ good guy here, and you guys are scaring us. I’m the f***in’ one paying your paycheck, so go home at night and think about the responsibility that you hold. ‘Cause if one of you f***s up, you all should take accountability for that. Just like one of us … if one of us throws something bad, I’m gonna say … ‘That was f***ed up’ … That’s the way you guys should f***in’ operate.”
Do you want teachers like this indoctrinating your kids?
